Hey, it's Karen Williams here, and I'm really excited to announce my Book Marketing event 'How To Market Your Book' for business authors!

When it comes to writing a book, many people think that the difficult bit is writing it. However, that's wrong. You can have the best book in the world, but if no-one knows about it, it's not going to do you or your business any good.

You need to promote your book from the very moment you start it, but most people struggle with this idea. This leads to conflicting priorities, frustration and not being sure what to do next.

That's one of the reasons why I'm putting on this event. I'd like to make it easy for you, breaking down all the marketing activities that you could do into something that you will do, so that promoting your book gives you the results that you want in your business. 

Imagine how you'll feel when your book reaches readers all around the world and it hits the number one spot on Amazon. Or it simply makes you and your family proud. 

This event is for you if you're writing a business or self-help book - or perhaps you've already launched it - and you want to find out how to develop your own unique marketing strategy.

I'll be sharing with you some of the most important marketing techniques that you need to follow, and short-cuts to making the implementation of these easy to follow. I'll also give you the blueprint for the important things - like selling your book and launching it effectively. I can share plenty of client stories where it's opened up new opportunities, enabled them to get brilliant PR and helped them to grow their business

For this particular event, Sheryl Andrews, The Strength and Solution Detective will be joining us to support those who recognise that perhaps the real thing holding you back from marketing your book is perhaps fear of technology and learning all this new ‘stuff’, or maybe you're worrying about what others will think. I'll also be joined by my colleagues Helen McCusker and Esther Harris at Bookollective who will help you to create the perfect angle to promote both you and your book.

Working with Karen was the catalyst for writing and marketing a book that was aligned with my business. We often think we don’t need to market a book until it is finished, yet, promoting it beforehand, even before you have started writing it, is valuable to your book and business.

The marketing and the writing go hand in hand. For example, whilst you are drilling down who your ideal client is, you then have a greater connection to your reader and which issues you need to address in your book. Additionally, promoting your book before it is published, gives you focus on your intentions for your business. The more you passionately talk about your book the more your ideal client understands what you do.

I have got pre-orders for my book Successful Business Minds and it is not yet published (it will be on the 28th April though!) but more importantly, I have got more of my ideal clients, simply through working with Karen on marketing my message as well as writing the book.

How to ensure your book is a business building tool

In my experience, success and results come not from writing your book, it's about how you launch it. 

When you have the right strategies in place, you can reach people all around the globe, and make a bigger difference with your wisdom and knowledge.

You can also learn all the things you need to do to make money from your book, even if you don't sell a single copy.

This is the missing piece in the jigsaw for many business authors and that's why I want to show you some of the short-cuts in this two day event.

You don't need to have finished writing your book to really benefit from this event. However, I'd imagine that you've already started, have a launch plan and are ready to start shouting about it!

We had writing a book at the back of our minds for some time. But weren’t quite sure whether the business value justified the time invested.
