Book Marketing Mastermind Weekend

Learn Easy To Implement Low-Cost Marketing Strategies To Get You And Your Book Noticed - With Bonus PR Workshop

2 Day Event - Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2017, Portsmouth, Hampshire

Hey, it's Karen Williams here, and I'm really excited to announce my Book Marketing event 'How To Market Your Book' for business authors!

When it comes to writing a book, many people think that the difficult bit is writing it. However, that's wrong. You can have the best book in the world, but if no-one knows about it, it's not going to do you or your business any good.

You need to promote your book from the very moment you start it, but most people struggle with this idea. This leads to conflicting priorities, frustration and not being sure what to do next.

That's one of the reasons why I'm putting on this event. I'd like to make it easy for you, breaking down all the marketing activities that you could do into something that you will do, so that promoting your book gives you the results that you want in your business.

Imagine how you'll feel when your book reaches readers all around the world and it hits the number one spot on Amazon. Or it simply makes you and your family proud.

This event is for you if you're writing a business or self-help book - or perhaps you've already launched it - and you want to find out how to develop your own unique marketing strategy.

I'll be sharing with you some of the most important marketing techniques that you need to follow, and short-cuts to making the implementation of these easy to follow. I'll also give you the blueprint for the important things - like selling your book and launching it effectively. I can share plenty of client stories where it's opened up new opportunities, enabled them to get brilliant PR and helped them to grow their business

For this particular event, Sheryl Andrews, The Strength and Solution Detective will be joining us to support those who recognise that perhaps the real thing holding you back from marketing your book is perhaps fear of technology and learning all this new ‘stuff’, or maybe you're worrying about what others will think. I'll also be joined by my colleagues Helen McCusker and Esther Harris at Bookollective who will help you to create the perfect angle to promote both you and your book.

Working with Karen was the catalyst for writing and marketing a book that was aligned with my business. We often think we don’t need to market a book until it is finished, yet, promoting it beforehand, even before you have started writing it, is valuable to your book and business.

The marketing and the writing go hand in hand. For example, whilst you are drilling down who your ideal client is, you then have a greater connection to your reader and which issues you need to address in your book. Additionally, promoting your book before it is published, gives you focus on your intentions for your business. The more you passionately talk about your book the more your ideal client understands what you do.

I have got pre-orders for my book Successful Business Minds and it is not yet published (it will be on the 28th April though!) but more importantly, I have got more of my ideal clients, simply through working with Karen on marketing my message as well as writing the book.

This is what you'll get from the weekend

  • 1.

I'll help you to develop a succinct synopsis for your book, so that you can effectively sell it before you've finished writing it, and you have a clear pitch that will get you and your book noticed. This will be invaluable when you want the perfect person to endorse your book, write your foreword or give a fabulous review

  • 2.

I'll show you the exact blueprint that you need to follow to become an Amazon #1 bestseller, and the strategies to make a splash with your physical book launch party, so that you get you and your book noticed by the people who need to read it.

  • 3.

I'll be sharing effective marketing techniques and shortcuts that will allow you to shine online through social media, blogs, videos, webinars and podcasts. I'll show you how you can develop your existing content, so that you can build your readership and reach a wider audience of people who want to hear from you, without it taking up loads of your time.

  • 4.

You'll discover everything you need to know to get brilliant PR from your book - that you can do before and after you've finished it, so that you can create the best press release for your book and get noticed by journalists.

  • 5.

As well as sharing with you online strategies, I'll be giving showing you how you can use your book as an effective offline marketing tool so that you can use your book to get more of the right speaking gigs that allow you to show up, and how you can spread the word about your book by getting the right people on board with its promotion

  • 6.

Lastly, I'll give you the strategies to make money from your book through products, packages and programmes and charging what you're worth, so that you use your book as an effective marketing tool and a way to solidly build your business.

Just think... wouldn't it be great if you not only had a brilliant book, but you knew that it was reaching readers all around the globe and giving you more fans, prospects and clients...

This is what people said about our last event

How to ensure your book is a business building tool

In my experience, success and results come not from writing your book, it's about how you launch it.

When you have the right strategies in place, you can reach people all around the globe, and make a bigger difference with your wisdom and knowledge.

You can also learn all the things you need to do to make money from your book, even if you don't sell a single copy.

This is the missing piece in the jigsaw for many business authors and that's why I want to show you some of the short-cuts in this two day event.

You don't need to have finished writing your book to really benefit from this event. However, I'd imagine that you've already started, have a launch plan and are ready to start shouting about it!

Best wishes

PS This is the second of three events we run.  Full details of all the events can be found here.

You have helped me to get started… stop procrastinating, get structure, be organised, have the confidence to just do it.

I have my 1st draft ready, I have pictures done, I have also been featured in social media as far as Australia, The Daily Mail online and I was in Chat magazine in October. All this came about as a result of working with you.

Here are a few more happy clients

Having a partner was really important to me and having the encouragement to get the book done has been invaluable. Karen gave me the short-cuts with her expertise. She’s done the legwork so I didn’t have to, as I didn’t want to learn the technical stuff. This was an amazing plus for me. We worked together on a plan which was broken into manageable chunks, and this plan was the linchpin that enabled me to do it.

Now I’ve written the book and my Mum’s very proud! It’s elevated my profile, and I’ve been running Eat to Outsmart Cancer workshops across the UK. The book has helped and I can’t wait to be able to offer the book so that people can not only be inspired but have something to take away with them.

It has really helped working with Karen, because you make the commitment and have the support in place to help you. If there’s something in your business that you excel at, a book is a perfect thing to do.

We had writing a book at the back of our minds for some time. But weren’t quite sure whether the business value justified the time invested. We were aware of Karen and her coaching books. “Your Book is the Hook” hit the nail on the head as a guide to writing and publishing a book but we knew we needed the added advice and accountability that comes only from a coach.

Our reluctance to embark on writing our book stemmed from our concern that it would take our attention away from building our business, but Karen helped us to develop a concept that would enable us to use writing and marketing the book as a business development tool. That strategy has already helped us to build our network connecting with people to whom we might have struggled to get access without the book.

Karen has guided, cajoled, and given us the kick we needed to get going and keep going. We are half way there and although it still seems an enormous task, with Karen’s encouragement, we know we will get there. Her expertise and advice, coupled with her business acumen, have truly made the difference.

Karen and I started to work together at the latter stages of writing the book. It was actually being proof read at that time. I’m glad we worked together as it made a massive difference to the final output even at that stage. She helped me to develop my signature system that works and brought everything together.

Writing a book has been a great business card, and it automatically gives you a sense of authority and a talking point. There is something still very special about writing a book that people respect, which has helped with the authority in my business. It starts to answer the ‘why me’ question and because I have the book and the 7 step signature system that I’m really proud of. Moving forward, it’s the basis of a programme I’m developing.

Karen supported me with my actual book launch in London. She also helped with the nuts and bolts and the strategy for my Kindle launch earlier this year, and it got to number 1 in one of its categories. Now I’m working with Karen again to support me with my ongoing marketing and my second book!

I've been on the Authors Workshop today with Karen and Helen and what a mine of information! It's been an absolutely fabulous day.

It's helped me to understand what I need to do to relaunch my first book, and given me plenty of ideas on what to do on my second book. It's been really worthwhile and I now have an action plan on how to move forward.
